The Respite Care Center
Enhancing Quality of Life
A Ministry of Williamsburg United Methodist Church
What is Respite Care?
Family caregivers have demanding tasks and often neglect their own health and well-being. Consequently, caregivers need time off to relieve stress and prevent burn-out.
Adults with special needs often have limited opportunities for social interaction which has been proven to be psychologically and physically beneficial.
How to Enroll: Obtain, complete and return an application form from John Tressler, Executive Director (757-229-1771). An interview will be arranged with you and your family member who has special needs. A brief introductory period to determine the appropriateness of the program for the participant will be arranged. An agreement will be signed that includes a minimum number of hours.
Contributions: Tax-deductible gifts are welcome.
