Dreams and Visions
Each year, we set our dreams and visions for the following year - below are some of the exciting things we feel God leading us to in the coming year:
1. Expansion and development of music ministry
a. Worship music
b. Bell choir
c. Children’s choir
2. Adult Discipleship Opportunities (Bible Studies, small groups, etc.)
3. Continued growth and development of Kid’s Night Out Ministry (K-6th grade)
4. Ongoing Support of Boy Scout/Cub Scout Programs
5. Develop and implement a plan for reaching fishing industry; including exploration of need for the following:
a. Bible Study/Small Group Opportunities à Start 1-2 weekly small group Bible Studies at satellite location(s).
b. Worship Opportunities à Begin non-Sunday or alternate time worship experience possibly at satellite location (s).
c. Support and mentoring of others to lead and facilitate Bible Studies and Worship Events
d. Transportation to worship/discipleship opportunities à Provide & develop transportation ministry to those without personal vehicles.
e. Intentionally establish personal connections to those in the fishing industry as opportunities arise to better assess needs of overall community.
i. Physical needs support (calling cards, food, etc.)
ii. Blessing of individual vessels
f. Care packages for crews (Kits for Crews)
6. Develop ministry to preschool children (birth – Preschool, Kidz Corner)
7. Develop ministry to Jr. High age students
8. Strengthen administrative efforts
a. Establish procedures for fiscal accountability
b. Establish and maintain record of correspondence with supporters and donors
c. Expand leadership base thru intentional discernment and mentoring of person’s gifts and passions
d. Revise and utilize building use forms
9. 40 Days of Purpose – Have congregation participate in program and weekly meetings to enhance congregation’s understanding of ministry and call.
10. Develop and expand prayer ministry of congregation
11. Membership
a. Explore definition of membership, (including full, associate, and affiliate classifications).
b. Encourage persons in attendance and connected to identify current membership status and future commitment.
c. Establish and maintain permanent membership record.
12. Revise and Maintain Website – expand its usage and functionality.
Please be praying that God give us the strength, discernment and wisdom necessary to follow his vision, and guide us in pursuing his call.
