Children and Youth
Sunday School - 9:30 -10:30 a.m. Sundays
Trinity strives to welcome young people into all
parts of our congregational life. Children and youth participate in everything from
leading worship to church retreats.
Sunday School is available for
children age 3 and older at 9:30 a.m. The emphasis is on learning the stories
of our faith and experiencing faith in action.
A combined junior high and senior high youth class studies the lectionary
passage for each Sunday with emphases on art, social justice, and worship.
Each summer an intergenerational Vacation
Bible School involves children and youth, as well as adults.
Childcare for those two and younger is
available during Sunday Worship.

Sojourners Class
The purpose of this class, open to all
adults, is to further an understanding of God. Through the discussion of
works by such contemporary authors as Matthew Fox, Roberta Bondi, and Wendy
Wright, participants seek a deeper faith and a spirituality acted out in
everyday life.
Progressive Sunshine Class
This class is for senior adults (over 55).
In an atmosphere of love and nurture, we pray for and celebrate with each
other. Our favorite programs are the celebration of birthdays and a
Christmas brunch, in which we invite a youth class for some intergeneration
bonding. Using the International Lesson Series,
we explore and grasp the meaning of God's rule, God's character, and God's
expectations presented in the Bible. We interpret the Bible as disclosures
of the meaning of Jesus' own life and ministry and how we relate to God
through Christ, our Lord and Savior. We also use our own stories and those
of others to flesh out the implications of faith in our lives today.
Lectionary Bible Study - Sundays 6:30 p.m.
This group focuses on study of the
lectionary text for the following Sunday. The groups meets in homes of its
members.
United Methodist Women
The United Methodist Women is a gathering
of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole
persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship,
and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global
ministries of the church. Membership is open to all Trinity women. Recent
studies include "The Bible: The Book that Bridges the Millenia,"
"Churches of Africa Speak," "Families, Drawing the Circle
Wide," "Welcoming the Child," "Hong Kong/China,"
and "Living in a Multicultural World." Contact the church
office for information about meeting times.
