New Singers and
Ringers are ALWAYS welcome!
The
creative arts are an important part of our worship service at St. Andrew's
United Methodist Church. One of the first things we know about God from the
scriptures is that God created. When we work in creative ventures, it brings us
closer to the Divine Creator.
We
believe that utilizing the arts in worship enhances our human attempts to speak
about and with God. Art speaks for us and to us in the forms of music, dramatic
dialog, reflective monologues or poetry, vibrant and evocative movement, and
spellbinding visual depictions.
There
are several options for participating in or supporting the arts at St. Andrew's.
If you are not a performer but wish to be involved we also welcome volunteers to
support special programming.
Special
arts ministry groups meet for several weeks at a time on a
periodic schedule. Watch the bulletin and this website for information on new
arts outlets during the year.
Sanctuary Choir:
This ensemble of dedicated singers leads
our worship service each week as hymn leader, providing special anthems and
solos, and other musical offerings in the service.
Holy Tollers Hand Bell Choir: Chimes of some
sort have accompanied worship services for centuries. Today's versions may look
different, but still evoke the soul to resonate.
