  • TRIP PLANS
St. Andrew's and Keenagers are sponsoring a trip to Sight & Sound to listen to and view the premier production of Joseph. The date is April 13, 2010. The cost is $119 which includes transportation and lunch at Shady Maple. A sign up sheet is in the narthex. If more information is needed, call Oskar Gmunder, 489-0919 or Jim Miller, 795-0437

    NEW MINISTRY OF VISITATION
The Membership and Evangelism Committee are seeking people who are interested in visiting members of our church family who are housebound, recovering from illnesses or surgery or in rehab. This gift of love and care is a blessing to many. Do you feel God's call? For more information, contact Mary Layton at 489-6648 or maryangela7@msn.com .

    SAVE THE SUPERINTENDENTS!
Here is a unique way to use your talents to serve your church and help children and adults. Due to the Safe Sanctuaries Policy, we need someone to “float” through the hall ways and peek in on the children as they are learning in their class rooms. This helps assure the safety of the children, while not requiring that we have two teachers in each room. You would have a back-ground check done, and then you would monitor the hallways. (The more volunteers, the fewer turns each will have to take.) This would enable our very busy Sunday School Superintendents to worship a couple of times a month. Can you do this? Call Meredith to volunteer, 429-4469.

    COLLINGSWOOD MANOR
The Auxiliaries at Collingswood Manor Methodist Home are holding a Christmas, Attic and Craft Fair, Friday, November 13th from 9am to 3pm! Come for attic treasures, crafts, books, baked goods and lunch. Join the activities at the Home, 460 Haddon Avenue, Collingswood.

    BABYSITTER NEEDED
For Thursday from 5:45pm until the end of Bell Choir rehearsal. You must be 18 years or older. See Bernadette Exley if you would like to help.

    SIGN KEEPER NEEDED
We are looking for someone who is willing to periodically change the church sign by Route 70. If you think this is an opportunity for you to serve, please contact Meredith, 429-4469.

    EXERCISE CLASSES
As the weather gets colder, people usually hunker down and get a lot less exercise. The St. Andrew's Exercise Classes have resumed and will continue until the week of 12/14. Each week we offer 3 classes for Cardio/Strength, 1 class for Zumba, and 2 classes for Tai Chi. There are morning classes and evening classes, so there should be something that works with your schedule. Please contact Barbara Hansen for more information. 856-795-3428 or Barbara.Hansen3428 @yahoo.com

    GREETERS NEEDED
Here is another way to become familiar with the people of St. Andrew's - be a greeter. Greeters can be singles, families, youths, two or more friends, or parents and children, or any combination of the above. You greet people as they come into church on your scheduled Sunday from 10am until 10:30am. If you would like to help out in this most important function, please sign up on the kiosk or call Meredith at 429-4469.

    PRINTER INK/TONER
There is a box in the narthex to collect your used toner cartridges. St. Andrew's will get a donation for these when we recycle them. We also need volunteers to obtain a Staples Reward card to turn them in. We have the Staples registration forms for you to fill out and taken into store.

PLEASE REMEMBER ST. ANDREW'S IN YOUR WILL
St. Andrew's has six permanent endowment funds to which you may designate gifts, memorials, legacies and bequests.
The General Endowment Fund is for strengthening the total mission of the Church as determined by the Administrative Board. The Fund for Music and the Performing Arts in Worship is for maintenance of instruments, hiring of musicians and other necessities required for a quality music and performing arts program as determined by the Commission on Worship. The Fund for Education Ministries is for children, youth and adult education ministry, as well as providing scholarship assistance to persons for events or educational programs as determined by the Commission on Education. The Fund for Capital Improvement and Purchase of Real Estate is for capital improvements determined the Board of Trustees. The Fund for Missions and Outreach is for purposes determined by the Commission on Missions. The Moore Fund for Staff Development is for hiring of staff other than the Senior Pastor, especially for workers for youth and Christian education, as determined by the Staff /Parish Relations Committee.

DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THE TREATS IN THE LOUNGE?
Every Sunday, in the lounge, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and munchkins are available for a "free will offering." This is a change from our original procedure because we need to receive more money since the cost of food has increased. Come and join us, even if you don't want to eat. Meet other St. Andrew's family and get to know them as you chat and enjoy refreshments

SUPPER CLUB - What Is It, Anyway? Supper Club is a loose-knit group whose sole purpose is to enjoy each other's company over good food. Each group decides when and where they will meet. We usually take turns hosting meals and everyone else brings a dish. You don't have to host at home. We've eaten at restaurants, at the church, or in the park. You decide! We recommend that all groups meet every month even if just for a quick cup of coffee. The idea is to get to know new people and to enjoy Christian fellowship. This is not a couples club. Singles are always welcome and do participate regularly. We'd love you to be part of our group. Don't forget, we have a "Dine-Out Only" group, too!
See the sign up sheet in the Narthex where you have a large choice of Supper Clubs to choose..
Groups are forming now. Just talk to Bernadette Exley or sign up on the sheet in the narthex. Can't make it all the time? Be a Sub! "Hey, ya gotta eat! Why not eat with friends?"
