A DEVOTIONAL FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER FROM THE PEN OF HARRY BLACK, LAY LEADER

Read:  Matthew 7:13-23

As a church and as Christians, there are decisions we have to make.  Are they morally sound and do they stand on  Christian beliefs?  Our lesson in Matthew says, "Beware of false prophets, they come in sheep's clothing, and inwardly they are ravenous wolves.  You will know them by their fruits."  Are grapes gathered from thorns or figs from thistles? A sound tree bears good fruit; a bad tree bears evil fruit.  Not everyone who says they can change the world can give you a good life.  Be very careful of these people for they are false prophets.

Not everyone that comes to me and says "Lord" will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the ones that do the will of the father are worthy for my kingdom.

Your fruits tell me if you are worthy to serve me, the community, and the nation.

The one with integrity, honesty, faithfulness, trustworthiness, in Love for all people's concerns is the candidate for leadership and candidate for the Kingdom of God.  This is your choice and decision you have to make.  For me I am going to serve the Lord and his teaching and I will survive the pressures of this world because I stand on the principles of the Lord Jesus Christ and his commandments.

Thought for the day:

Be careful of False Prophets for they lie, cheat, steal; they talk out of both ends of their mouth.

Put your Faith, Trust, Hope in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be standing on a solid foundation.

May god bless you in your choices and decisions.  Amen.

Lay Leader, Harry Black
