Our new building project, replacing the Bernard Johnson Covenant Church Hall, began May 30, 2006. The new building is a 28,000 square foot multipurpose building and its central purpose is to provide a place for community functions. The building may be used for basketball games, gymnastics, exercise classes, dance classes, business meetings, seminars, conferences, banquets, weddings, plays, etc. We will have a full service kitchen, 6 conference rooms, and a large, basketball court size multipurpose room. We will also have adequate restroom facilities with one shower each in the men’s and women’s restrooms. Our facilities will be handicapped accessible with an elevette providing access to the 2nd floor conference rooms. The building project is 50% complete as of the New Year, 2008. We expect completion June of this year. To reserve space for a special event or to lease space for team play, monthly meetings, dance or exercise classes etc., contact our Trustee, Dorothy Magruder on 301-888-2171 or leave a message with our church secretary. |

**Nottingham-Myers UMC, lost its social hall, class rooms and offices in a fire Good Friday 2001. **

We are now in need of your prayers. Good Friday 2001, our church hall, The Bernard Johnson Covenant (BJC) Hall, burned to the ground. The building housed our offices, classroom facilities, tables and chairs, our kitchen facilities, storage for our school supplies program, our library, historical artifacts, our Sunday School and VBS supplies, our Disciples Bible Study materials, including, televisions and video tapes, and many other items.
