The McKnight UMC youth, also known as PBJ ~ Powered by Jesus ~ are EXCITED about attending the United Methodist Youth 2007 Conference in Greensboro, North Carolina, July 11 – 15, 2007.

Actually, SPLAT is the “official” name of the event, sponsored by Young People’s Ministries of The General Board of Discipleship. (The letters stand for Seek Pray Learn Act Teach.)

We look forward to the opportunity to form a spiritual community unlike anything we’ve ever experienced. We’ll meet youth from across the globe, hear diverse speakers & Bible Study leaders and participate in daily high-quality, interactive Splatshops. ALSO, hold onto your hats…

WE GET TO DO HANDS-ON MISSION WORK IN THE AFTERNOONS!
That’s right - - it’s the best of “both worlds” - -worshipping with thousands of young Christians, then going into the greater Greensboro area to “do” mission.

This type of United Methodist youth event is held once every FOUR years and formerly took place on university campuses. However, attendance has grown too large for such a venue, so this year it will be held at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex with youth and youth workers staying in local hotels.
