What is the SHAPE Team?     It is the group that is responsible for the functioning of the church. Essentially replacing what used to be the Administrative Board and several other committees.

What is the basic function of the SHAPE team?    It is one master committee/group that will function together for the life of the church as set forth in the Vision and the Mission of the church. It functions as the PPR (Pastor-Parish Relations Committee) as needed. It functions as the Administrative Board, the Nomination Committee, includes the Finance Committee, Layity leader selection and development, Evangelism, small group development, Includes the Lay Leader, the Pastors, the Worship Team Leader and deals with all aspects of the Church. The SHAPE Team and the Trustees are the lone standing committees of the Church.

Harris Hill United Methodist Church, where we place Jesus Christ first and the Spirit of the Lord is contagious. Where all feel loved and are enabled to share their gifts; and where, as God’s disciples we nurture spiritual growth.

We will seek to open hearts and minds of our church body, our community, and our world to the Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We will provide an atmosphere that glorifies God, promotes spiritual awakening and growth through continuous prayer and constant fellowship, by igniting passion, joy and love for our Lord Jesus.

Who is on the SHAPE Team? There are several classes of three people, each class of three serves a three year term then rotates off.  The Lay Leader, the Worship Team Leader, the Pastors, and the Finance and Trustee Chair Persons are permanent positions on the SHAPE Team.
