Operation Christmas Child
Nov. 1-15, 2009

Operation Christmas Child has begun. Give the gift of love to needy children across the world. By filling a shoe box (or plastic container shoebox size), with gifts for a boy or a girl, you will be helping to spread some joy to children who might not otherwise receive a Christmas present. Most importantly, though, you will be sharing the Good News of our Lord and Savior with them. If you need some ideas of what to put in the boxes, sample shoe-boxes are on display in the back of the sanctuary. Brochures that explain how to fill your shoebox are also available. Bring your filled shoebox by November 15th. The Youth group will be assisting in the collection and delivery of the shoe boxes during the National Collection Week, November 16-23, 2009.

Gift Suggestions:
               School Supplies-pens, pencils, sharpeners, crayons, markers
               Toys-balls, dolls, stuffed animals, yo-yos, jump rope, slinky
               Hygiene items-toothpaste, toothbrushes, comb, washcloth
               Other-hard candy, lollipops, T-shirts, socks, caps, sunglasses
Don Not Include: war-related items such as toy guns, chocolates, liquids, glass containers

Fill your shoe box, label the lid, add your $7 donation to help offset shipping and other costs, and bring it to church by November 15. 2009. God bless you for reaching out to hurting children.

"Loves Enduring Promise" -popcorn, drinks and bake sale.

November 22
Joint Thanksgiving with First Baptist Church of Donna at end of their noon services About Noon. They will provide turkeys. We will bring other fixings' for a Thanksgiving Dinner.

Choir
It's that time again Choir Members and any one who would love to join us in preparing for our Christmas Musical, Practice will be held on Wednesdays at 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM. Please contact Connie Graham if you have any questions at (956) 482-2354.  Looking forward to a wonderful musical year.  Connie

Food Pantry
Our food pantry is empty and would greatly appreciate your help with
donations to help take care of those less fortunate.
Suggested items are:
Canned food - (Vienna Sausage, Chicken, Tuna, Sardines, chili, stew, ravioli or other pasta)
Rice, Beans, Crackers
Nonfood items:
New socks, (small size) soap, toothpaste, deodorant, toothbrushes, hand lotion, disposable razor blades.
