We people of Idaville United Methodist Church, realizing that as children of God blessed with abundance in our lives, both spiritual and with the needs of life, desire to reach out to others who are not as fortunate as we are and therefore we desire:
To be in mission and ministry by reaching out to others who are in need, such as to nursing homes, children's homes, or food banks by have the congregation donate a monthly non-perishable food item which would be taken to a place in need as selected by the Administrative Council of Idaville UMC. Delivery of the food would be rotated through the members of the congregation so that everyone has the opportunity to see where their donations are being given and to encourage those making the donations to see the real needs of those who are not as blessed with abundance as those in the congregation are.
