Senior Choir meets Thursday evenings at 7:30 PM for practice. This choir sings every Sunday at the 11 AM service except the first Sunday of each month. There is no choir during July and August. The choir presents a special cantatas and Handel's Hallelujah Chorus each Easter. |
United Methodist Men (UMM) meet at 8 AM the last Saturday of each month for breakfast and devotions. They
set up and take down the decorations for the Christmas season, co-sponsor the
Roast Beef Dinners, support a variety of other projects, and a number of our men
attend the Conference-wide Men's Convocation in the Poconos each spring. |
A Pancake
Breakfast is provided each Easter
morning following the Sunrise Service. Everyone is welcome. Free-will donations
accepted.
UM Men and the Missions Committee sponsor a Roast Beef Dinner the first Saturday in October to raise funds for three local charities that provide food for the needy. Extra food and all monetary proceeds go to Lansdale's Manna On Main Street, Norristown's St John's Soup Kitchen, and North Philadelphia's UM Neighborhood Services.

Bethel Lunch Bunch (BLB) meets at 12:30 PM the third Wednesday of each month for a brown bag lunch and Christian fellowship. Desserts and beverages - and sometimes entertainment - are provided.
Christian
Kids Club includes children from kindergarten through fifth grades
and meets on the 2nd Sunday of every month from
October through June. There is an emphasis on sharing and several mission
projects are pursued during the year. |
Quaintance Group is a loosely organized group of adults that meet the third Saturday of the month for an outing. Events include everything from a picnic in the Pocono's to bowling, miniature golf and Reading Phillies baseball games. 'Quaintance Group has a different schedule of events each year with the planning session generally coming in January. All adults are invited to participate in these activities. Check out some of our activities: Spirit of Philadelphia Dinner Cruise, Ellis Island Trip, Lincoln Field, Ride The Ducks, With The Browns In The Pocono's, The Missions Committee also sponsors a three-day work session at Habitat For Humanity in Norristown. All friends and members 16 years of age and over are invited to participate. |

Sunday Nighter's are couples and single parents of children and youth that
meets the 2nd Sunday of the month for
social outings and activities. Activities include bowling, eating out,
game nights etc. All parents of kids and youth are welcome to participate. Watch for announcements in current events about
scheduled activities coming up! |
"Needles & Pins" Circle meets the 2nd Tues. of the month at the home of Bonnie Hurd at 7:30pm There is a Blood Pressure Screening by our nurses in the Hayes Hall on the third Sunday of every month. |

Bethel Hill participates in an Inter-Church Softball League which plays each summer. Take a look at the schedule. Our team took second place in 2005. The Evangelism Committee hosts a New Member Covered Dish Dinner for new members to become better acquainted with the rest of the congregation. |
Food Collection is an on-going project with a food basket in the narthex
for weekly donations. Donations are given to Manna on Main Street in Lansdale, a
soup kitchen run by Interfaith of Lansdale.

Two Prayer Chains are an active and
important part of our congregation. Prayer requests are passed either by phone
or by e-mail from member to member during the week. Special joys and concerns
are prayed for during the services of worship on Sundays. Contact the

Family Camp (for all members of the family and "families" of 1 to ???) is a weekend of fun and fellowship at Camp Innabah in Chester County. Cost varies by age. Scholarship are available. (Ask the pastor.) This camping weekend involves recreational activities, inspiring exercises and an old fashioned camp fire with guitar music and singing. All are welcome to come renew their spiritual and interpersonal relationships with God and other church family members. | ||||

The Bethel Hill Library is open from 9 AM - 11 AM every Sunday and includes books, magazines, and video tapes with a Christian theme or emphasis. There are sections for children, youth, adults and UMW. |
Child Protection - Bethel Hill has formulated a plan regarding the resolution that was adopted at the General Conference of the UM Church as well as the Eastern PA Conference in response to the concerns of sexual child abuse. A copy of these policies is available in the church office. If you work with children at any level at Bethel Hill, it is advisable that you review this document. |
