Westmont First UMC to Celebrate Homecoming
A special Homecoming Sunday celebration will be held at First United Methodist Church of Westmont on October 25. The worship service will feature special music, welcoming of former members, and participation by former pastors, Rev. E. Dale Kleinschmidt and Rev. Gehl Devore. The service will be held at 11 a.m. The public is invited to attend. The church is located at 40 N. Lincoln St.
Lunch will be served in the church’s Fellowship Hall at 12:30 p.m. Current and former church members will offer their remembrances of the church’s history.
A free concert by the Downers Grove Village Voices, a 32 member chorale, will be presented at 3 p.m. The concert will feature popular, gospel, folk, jazz and patriotic music. The concert is open to the public.
