Christian
rock band ApologetiX to perform in Fox Valley

ST. CHARLES, Ill. –
The Christian rock band ApologetiX, which bills itself as That Christian
Parody Band, will perform Feb. 16 in Kane County to benefit refugee
resettlement in the Fox Valley.
ApologetiX, which parodies
familiar rock songs by rewriting them with Christian-themed lyrics,
will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at Lord of Life Lutheran
Church, 40W605 Route 38 (Route 38 and La Fox Road), Elburn.
Tickets may be purchased
for $10 at the band’s Web site, www.apologetix.com with a credit
card, or for $15 at the door with cash or check. The concert is geared
toward families and music fans of all ages. Those who plan to attend
are asked to arrive by 6:40 p.m.
ApologetiX, based in Pennsylvania, formed in 1992, according to the
band’s Web site. It has recorded 14 CDs and parodied songs performed
by bands such as the Beatles, Pearl Jam, Goo Goo Dolls, Red Hot Chili
Peppers and many, many more.
