The April speaker of the seniors group, 55 and the 3F's, was Pam Gifford who talked about the Gamma Knife project of the MidMichigan Medical Center. The March speaker was Andrea Muladore from MidMichigan Medical Center who talked about Durable Power of Attorney as it relates to health issues. The February meeting was a trip to the Delta Planetarium with lunch at a Bay City restaurant. Douglas Koop, Executive Director of the Little Forks Conservancy, was the speaker at the January 20 meeting. _

A Volunteer in Mission Group from Aldersgate journeyed to Calvary UMC in Saginaw on April 26 to paint their new computer room. _

Easter Thanks to our confirmation class for a very meaningful Easter Sunrise Service. Thanks to our choirs for the beautiful music at our Easter services. Thanks to everyone who contributed flowers. _

Roger Nelson as John Wesley

Our Lenten Program begun on Ash Wednesday, March 5, 6pm, with a supper followed by a Worship Service. On succeeding Wednesdays (except for the school spring break of April 2), there was a supper, praise and gathering, and study for all ages. On April 9, following the supper, Roger Nelson portrayed John Wesley in a one-man play The Man From Aldersgate. Click here for a sampling of Roger Nelson's performance. We celebrated the Sacrament of Baptism on March 23 for:
            Samuel James, daughter of Alison Beatty & David Midkiff

Thanks to the youth for leading the worship service on March 16. It was an very uplifting experience. _

The United Methodist Kids No TV or Computer Game Week generated $400. The money will be used to purchase school supplies to children in Haiti. During the year, the group has been sewing bags for needy students to carry supplies. _

Congratulations to Jeff and Chris Schroeder who were named valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively at Midland High School. _

A group from Aldersgate attended the church service at Calvary UMC in Saginaw on February 16. District Superintendent Tom Robinson was the speaker. _

Mission Celebration Several of our youth and adults helped with the Mission Celebration Pre-Rally at West Branch UMC on February 9. Mission Celebration Week started with a Kick-Off Banquet at First UMC in Midland on Saturday, May 3.

Congratulations to our Director Christian Education, Lyn Frazier, for being approved by the District Committee on Ordained Ministry as a Certified Candidate for the Order of Deacon. Lyn has begun part-time theological studies at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. _
