Aldersgate helped with the building of a home as part of the United Methodist Habitat for Humanity Year 2002 program. The groundbreaking was Sunday, April 28. Thanks to all who helped with financial and time support. _

We welcome Eric Prentiss as our new Director of Youth & Family Ministry. His warm presence was felt at our Celebration Sunday activities. _

Thanks to all who helped and participated in Celebration Sunday on August 25. A good time was had by all. We were pleased to introduce and dedicate our many workers who help with our education program and to give Bibles to our 3rd graders. _

Thanks to all who offered special music during our summer worship services. It is a treat to see these expressions of talent. _

Many of the services this summer were led by lay members of our congregation. We thank them for the witnesses. _

The Board of Trustees have recently installed a new sound system to help with the acoustics in our sanctuary. _

The June 23 service was led by graduates of this year's Disciples Bible Study classes who were given recognition during the service. Seven people were graduated from Disciple 1 Becoming Disciples through Bible Study. This class met on Monday evenings for 34 weeks. It covered 70% of Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Fourteen people were graduated from Disciple 4 Under the Tree of Life. This class met on Wednesday evenings for 32 weeks. It covered Old Testament writings, the Gospel of John; 1,2,3 John; James; Jude and Revelation. Ten people were recognized for completing all four units of the Disciple program. _

Thanks to all who helped with Vacation Bible School during the week of June 17. The theme was Exploring God's Wonderful Works. _

Playground
On June 9, we dedicated our revamped Playground . Improvements to the playground was made possible by a number of memorial and other gifts and the dedicated work of many volunteers. Check out the results. Thanks to all who have helped. _



Thanks to all who helped in the SHARE Cookie Bake on June 3. We made 120 dozen cookies. Thanks to those who helped with SHARE Lunch Preparation in the first week of July. _

On June 2, we recognized our high school and college graduates and our church school teachers of the past year. Congratulations and thanks. Check out the Graduate Poster in the narthex. Many of the graduates are in the picture below. _

We are proud of our senior high youth!
Senior Youth

The children's mission project for this spring was the PET (Personal Energy Transportation) project. This project helps provides special man-powered vehicles in countries where transportation is difficult. _

Linda Rice Thanks to all (Rainbow Bells, Children's Choir, Chime Choir, Bell Choir, Chancel Choir, pianists, organist, flutist) who participated in Music Sunday on May 19. It was nice to see the large number of participants of all ages. Thanks to our Christian Education director for the colorful message. Also on that date, Linda Rice, noted gospel/jazz harpist, played a concert in the evening. Her works included not only gospel and jazz but also classical, rock, and blues.

Our roof replacement is now complete. Thanks to those who contributed time in replacing roof planks and to those who contributed capital funds. _

Thanks to all who brought school kits, health kits, layette kits, and sewing kits for our delegates to Annual Conference to take for use in Liberia. A special thanks to The Sewing Ladies who sewed 30 bags for our United Methodist Kids to stuff with school supplies. Thanks to all who helped with the Spring Rummage Sale on May 9 and 10. We sold $2,011 worth of treasures to help fund church maintenance and improvements. _
