Faith Lessons on the Promised Land was the subject of video series covered by the Bible and Bagels group during the 10:45-11:15am time on Sunday mornings.

Aldersgate is helping with the building of a home as part of the United Methodist Habitat for Humanity program.
Ground breaking was April 28.

Helping Children Cope With Loss was the topic of two Thursday night sessions for adults in April.
Ellie Garrett, Grief Coordinator of MidMichigan Hospice, presented the first program on how to help children cope with loss in their lives. Our pastor, Dave Stout, presented the second program on the spiritual aspects of loss in a child's life.

Nan Skochdopole for her service as president of the group. A special treat was a piece by a flute ensemble.

Thanks to all who helped with the joint Lenten Potluck and Service with Calvary UMC on March 13. We had a very inspirational message by their pastor, the Rev. Ted Whitely.

A special thanks to our Youth Director, Jackie Warner, and her husband, Dave, for the work they have been doing with our youth the past 9 years. Jackie will be "retiring" at the end of the school year.

We had a commissioning of Christ Care leaders at the worship services on February 24.
Dick Burow, Dave Charles, Cassie Cuthbert, Donna Czerepinski, Mary Laffey, and Bryan Warner started service in this ministry.
Groups are planned in the areas of Bible Study, Men's, Intercessory Prayer, Parents of Teens, Finding Balance in Life, Marriage Enrichment, Faith Lessons, and Fellowship.

Thanks to the Sew and Go sewing ladies who helped make the Methodist Soup for the supper before Ash Wednesday.
Thanks to the the lay participants and the pastor for the very special Mending Broken Hearts worship service.

The Praise and Rejoice youth groups thank all who contributed to their "Souper Bowl" fundraiser.
$140.75 was raised for the Midland County Emergency Food Pantry.
Thanks also to those who helped support their activities through generous donations for sub sandwiches.

Congratulations to Rod Wagner for receiving the Strosacker Award. Rod heads the local American Red Cross unit.

Congratulations to Shirley Baker for being honored as volunteer of the month by the Midland Senior Independence News.
Shirley is treasurer of the Trailside advisory board.

On January 20th, we recognized Fred Miller for 38 years service as Financial Secretary.
