As Lent drew to a close, the Aldersgate Clown Ministry Troupe performed a Tenebrae drama, followed by communion with the clowns serving as stewards.

Scripture readings by Rev. Stout were vignettes to the drama:

• The Unshared Vigil: Luke 22: 39-46
• The Accusation of the High Priest: Mark 14: 43-46; 57-65
• The Crucifixion: Matthew 27: 27-36
• The Death: Luke 23: 44-46
• The Tomb: John 19: 38-42
• The Hope
• The Silent Recessional

Judas arrives to betray Jesus as his followers look on in disbelief.

The high priest accuses Jesus, who is held by palace guards. Jesus does not answer the charges.

Jesus, our Lord, is crucified.

The risen Christ, light of the world, leads his followers back into active ministry, each with their own light given by the Holy Spirit.

Holy Communion was shared by all with the clowns assisting Rev. Stout.
