GETTING REAL ABOUT WORSHIP

Of course, if it isn't real, it isn't really worship, is it? A tradition of worship is invaluable because it let's us know what true worship has been for our ancestors in the faith. What is real worship for us can only be determined in our hearts - every week.

Our goal is this - to not include anything in our worship that absolutely destroys the experience for anyone, and to include the varieties of things which make worship real for different folks. This is not impossible; in fact it is quite easy and wonderful if we allow our open minds and hearts to become part of the process. Some people don't care for praise music, but it doesn't ruin worship for them, especially if they know pipe organ classics will come later!

God blesses us with music from a wonderful choir all year except for summertime, preaching from the heart and prayer in which our spirit is joined with His.

When our time together expresses our love for God and for one another, we have worshipped in truth.
